Guys i updated my X58 system which has a Intel I7 980 , 6 core in it ,and the upgrade went flawlessly, now for your video card drivers because nvidia doesnt have the win10 option listed for drivers. I just downloaded GFORCE EXPERIANCE,, which had the latest win 10 drivers for my cards ready and waiting,, and has kept them current ever since.. I benchmarked both cpu and gpu performance , and everything score as good or in some cases much better than expected.. So besides gpu drivers everything went perfectly,, way to go microsoft finally..Hope this helps someone good luck guys..

They are only generic drivers though dude :) you are always better off going to your motherboard manufacturers website and getting the drivers from there.

Work good tho

I understand that the driver set that comes with windows 10 are just generic, however they are great drivers. I scored P20,640 on 3Dmark11 with a 17 980 , and 2 gtx 780's , which got me on the top 100 hall of fame,, so my point was simply this ,, that for ppl with older Gen kit they don't have to worry about drivers that the win10 drivers work very well .. As I was worried about the same issues , about not getting drivers.. But all is good ..and ASUS no longer makes drivers for X58 so I was sort of left out in the cold without my Blankie lol .. But thankfully Microsoft still loves us (finally) and put together a really good driver pack... Hope this info helps someone..

Most of the time the mainboard maufacturer only puts the drivers by realtek, intel etc. on their website. So if you find a driver for your chipset, nic, storage controller it does not necessarily from the mainboard manufacturer website. I'm basically saying Asus never made drivers for X58. It's always been intel.

Be that as it may its still the best place to get ALL the drivers ^_^
