Hey there guys i have a clean install of windows 10 but i have a problem.

My blu ray drive does not show up at all. In fact there isn't even dvd drive listed in device manager to identify it or update driver?

Instead of have a pile of yellow error things?

I have attached the whole tree. Any ideas how i get to use my dvd drive and how to fix these errors please :)

As above post said: Then go to your motherboard manufacturers website and download the drivers for windows 10

Would that be the cause of not recognising my dvd drive?

I had a sound glitch that was doing my head in and after much research it seems that it is down to Intel chipset drivers ?? So I left them out when I did this clean install of windows 10 and the glitch was gone. All is running fine apart from my dvd drive :(

Dude you have nothing to lose bye installing the drivers that you need so it's worth a shot

I'd just install them mate, at the end of the day, like already said, your not going to do any harm with installing them. To be honest mate, it's in the name really Intel chipset drivers, it's the motherboards main chip, obviously not including the actual cpu, that is.

The thing is that i have cured my sound glitch by not installing them ........... what happens if the sound glitch returns? Can i uninstall them and how?

Like if they won't help with my dvd drive and all is running fine why?

I am very grateful guys for your replies, i am not being rude i am just trying to understand.

Just go to your motherboard manufacturers website and download their latest drivers if a sata driver is not installed or not installed correctly then your system will not detect your dvd drive, so get out a flashlight and look at the model of your board and write down the make and model then goto the website and download the latest drivers even if they are only 8/8.1 drivers these will probably be sufficient and try and update as many of their drivers that you can to cover them all

OK guys the help here is awesome and thanx very much for that.

I am giving up the ghost and doing a clean install of 8.1. I loved 10 but will wait plus once i get 8.1 running with all me stuff etc for a few weeks i will image it and try the upgrade route. I am hearing good things so maybe in my case upgrading will be better than a clean install.
