Windows 10 64-bit now has more users than Windows 7 and 8.1 combined

It's now only 27 days until the offer ends, most bugs in windows10 have been fixed more and more people are now upgrading to windows 10 :)

It's no surprise really when they force the update on you, maybe not on all users but it happened to me and plenty of others. While that's probably not the reason why so many are using 10, I for one would be on 8.1 still.

I was sceptical when I heard that they would actually do that but I was watching a movie and a popup with the update appears, I thought it's for the regular update which asks you to restart or postpone but doesn't proceed without any input, so I ignore it and put the movie back on foreground and minutes later it reboots and starts installing. Thanks Microsoft

I for one love W10. Much faster than 7 and I've basically setup like 7. Solid in my book.

Yep same here, used classicshell for a windows 7 layout start menu and its the best thing.

As for it being more used now then windows 7, that was to be expected, but it is surprising it took less then a year.

It is surprising, considering how long people typically hold onto OS's

If one doesnt have a legitimate copy, MS doesnt give them a W10 genuine. Only upgrade to find out that you need to activate :D

Wasnt that hard to avoid it for the more savy user. Also, they stopped doing it recently.

Hmm. thats odd, cause in an official statement from MS, they stated that whilst pirated copies could upgrade, they wouldnt be activated.

many have had it forced on them, I have had to deal with several laptops from friends that have been forced onto it in the past week.

Having it forced on people isn't really a bad thing, most of my non-tech friends don't even know what OS they have on their computers!
If you're following the W10 saga you know there's no going back since W10 is the 'final' os, and if you don't know tech, then an auto update is a good thing.

It's only the paranoid people and the very few with hardware problems that should be complaining. Oh.. and the people who have been scared off by amatuer tech sites with scaremongering and clickbaiting..

I had windows 8 when it was on offer cheap and windows 10 when they first did the upgrade, and never had any problems with either
