Wiis Are For Kiddies According To Microsoft

It appears that the Nintendo Wii is still raising the hackles of both Microsoft and Sony. Instead of Microsoft and Sony jabbing away at each other over their respective consoles, they have both now turned their attention towards the Wii. Is the verbal attack justified?

oh and not to mention that my 6 year old nephew has got the hand/eye coordination of a fish that the romans have begun treating like the messiah

well what do you do if something is a threat to your 'tribe' revert to the caveman mentality of attacking it while it starting out (netscape, Linux + patents, Wii etc etc)

I don't think the Microsoft guys were taking a shot at the Wii's playability as much as stating that the games the Wii has are usually for younger gamers and the Xbox's are geared towards older gamers. All three consoles have a wide assortment of games, but the Wii doesn't (at least I think it doesn't) have the more 'mature' type games the Xbox and PS3 will have.

BEcasue every 10 year old will want to play bowling? Sorry, when i was 10 crap like that didnt grab my attention. Microsoft is trying to make excuses as to why the Wii is pwning and isnt giving due credit where its deserved. Its a pwnage machine period, and they just cant take it. I know more ppl who wished they had spent the money on a Wii instead of a 360, most being adults.

I'm pretty sure i read something about microsoft trying to get away from a console for hardcore gamers and instead have one for everything sort of thing.

I believe the Wii is an amazing creation.

But, I find it is only fun with friends, where as the Xbxo + PS3 has games that can be played alone.

Yes you are 100% right ZELDA:TP is best when you are playing it and your friends are eager to play.

tonnes of RPG headed for Wii (sweet metroid) and online play (Batt wars II) wii will be hardcore gamer/loner friendly soon

What it really comes down to is most people would pay for the system with better gameplay then one with better graphics. I have tried all three consoles and I would have to say I like the PS3 more then any of them. The Wii was too childesh for me and that controller that comes with it I find is somewhat..... retarded (sorry for any who like just my opinion). The games on the Wii are more geared towards the younger gamers out there while the PS3 and 360 are for the older and more mature. Personally, I think the Wii took the lead in sales becuase of it's price tag compared to the other consoles. I mean who is really going to justify $600 for a PS3? Not me thats for sure :nono:

The Wii is almost half the price of the 360 and offers more bang for your buck relatively speaking. Microsoft should get the picture already and not make up lame excuses as to why they got their *** kicked in sales.
