Wii May Not See Third-party Online Games In 2007

To be totally honest, we`re looking at a Gamecube that`s been pimped, nicely pimped, but anyway..

I`d open source, atleast put out an SDK, you can only imagine the amount of software that will flood the scene.

Nintendo`s real arguement for that would prehaps be quality control, but myself I wouldn`t worry about it.

When it comes to something like the Wii2, which i can imagine as the same unit physical-hardware-wize, but a better machine inside, that`s a different story.

Lets hope they do get it sorted, I know I would love to play some long distance friens at Big Brain academy, or if they managed any sports game it would be great.

Just hope its not a flash in the pan like Llwyd said :(

I cannot mock the Wii as it is loads of fun.

But Zelda looks like N64 in places.. :(

What have they done? Anywhoo no online play is suicide in my eyes. :p

Well no online play doesn't hurt it as much as, say the PS3, but it would have been a good option

Agreed, The Wii was made for parties. I have to admit playing with a group of people in reall life is more entertaining than online..

It must be a Wii thing! ;)

i know what you mean about parties and it is great for that , but so are board games. The trouble is you cant always have your sitting room full of people swinging their arms wildly without getting hurt.

If i could box against a friend 200 miles away, or go into combat alongside him it just gives it that one more thing it can do.

X box live has proved this already by being a big hit.

The whole deal about Nintendo was to put out a cheap awesome console without all the bells and whistles that Xbox and PS3 had. Which would mean, no online gaming. Im suprised the hardware support is even there.

Its there, just need the software. The wireless of all the concoles is frigging awesome actually - far superior and easier than PC wireless

In terms of the Zelda, I am totally not up to date with how the latest ones look, but I wouldn`t be supprized with some of the contents looking older. The way I look at that is that the game is built around an idea and the graphics (to put it a silly way) are superficial to the game... to put it another way, they`d release the same version on something like a gba, with obvious graphical changes, and be pleased with it. And tbh loads would buy it lol.

And the Wii`s remote-ability, hehe one thing about the XBox360 and the controllers - in my house u can have the unit upstairs and control the media player from downstairs (just at the bottom of the stairs :p) - that is nice ;)

I know Zelda has a "Graphic style" But it gives you a headache if you play it for too long.. :(

The picture quality seems to be very blurry..

I <3 N64

The Wii Remote is amazing what ever the games are. very clever design. I have enjoyed Red Steel. :p

One of the Zeldas I refused to play tbh cos they went totally comic-book styled.

Don't blame you. I have a mate that doesn't stop going on about anime... ANNOYING!

:p

Anywhoo Rastalovich, you have a Wii?

Nah, I haven`t plunged, I`m almost sure I will at some point, but it`s likely to be a spontaneous thing.

I`m half and half stuck between the thoughts of staying up all night just to play Zelda. Similarly I`m hesitant to get my ps2 out cos I know I`ll get that FF game and do the same.

I don`t know that I can do with the time loss, time moves so quickly for me atm.
