If you think about it.. 8+8 = 16... Meaning all together you get 16x bandwidth.. but using 2 cards.
Mmmm, I would guess and say you would get a small increase in most games/apps.
But obviously two 16x would rock!![]()

See i told you. The performance is minimal difference between 8xAGP and PCI-E so i dont see why there would be a difference between 8x and 16x PCI-E.
