as some of you might know, in a coupla days i'm about to upgrade my CPU and Chipset cooling.

i was thinking of getting a Scythe Infinity coupled with a Scythe S-FLEX 120mm Fan 1600rpm and also i thought id get a Thermalright HR-05 SLI Passive Northbridge Heatsink.

now...the question is...which thermal paste should i use?

I was recommended to use the Arctic Cooling MX-1 Thermal Paste for the CPU...should i use that on the chipset as well? Or should i consider the other alternatives:

Arctic Silver Ceramique

Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Paste

Arctic Silver 5

i understand that the MX-2 stuff gets approx 1C off compared to the MX-1 paste.....really worthwhile bein anal about it?

lemme know ppl :D

MX-2 kicks AS5 a$$...

I've always found coollabs liquid metal to be amazing (much better than AS5)

For it's stellar performance and ease of application go with MX-2

Personally I use Arctic Ceramique on chipsets and GPU's, but thats mainly for safety and ease of use (splash it on :p)

Yeh thats same as me, Ceramique on GPU and both bridges, and then AS5 on CPU :)
