which power supply?

Im building my first rig soon and Im wondering whether is worth the extra £20 to get an corsair 850AX rather than a corsair 850HX

i would say it is worth the extra £20 because..

1- gold power supply, more efficient, less wastage

2-the corsair gold ax850's fan doesnt actually spin untill you use alot of power so at idle the psu will cool passivly = quiet psu

and when it does get hot i.e 50% usage itsonly 16dba so its still quiet.

which is why i changed my hx for an ax psu

+1 for the AX - also has a 7 year warranty, and is fully modular inc 24 & 8 pin power.
