Which power supply should I go with?!

Hello :oc3d:!

I am purchasing a new PSU for my new build (you can follow it in the project logs) and I would like some assistance in deciding on which PSU would be the best option for me. The PSU I use currently is a POS and I am afraid for the integrity of my system if I was to use it. As excited as I am to put this baby together I feel it is best to get a new PSU and have peace of mind.

First my specs:

MOBO: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-6350
Memory: Corsair Vengance Pro 8gb (1866 MHZ)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 760
Storage: 2 WD HDD one intellisense one 7200RPM

On to the power supplies in question (although I am still open to suggestion). I am debating upon either the CORSAIR CXM series CX750M 750W or the Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W. I would prefer to get the Corsair I think it is cheaper (by like $30) and is fully modular not to mention a brand I am familiar with and have had no problems with. They are both SLI ready so that is already good (Gives me room to upgrade) and they are both 750w (So I can have a decent amount of extra watts for whatever may come in the future.) The only thing I could say is aesthetically I prefer the Antec but it isn't of deal breaker level.Am I in the right ballpark at all with either of these two PSU's, if so would I be making the wrong choice in going with the Corsair?

I think they are both Seasonic Based models... so either should be great. I would pick Corsair as well for the modular :)

Thank you for the feedback thus far! I do appreciate outside opinions, but I do have some questions (that I should have put into my first post but, oh well.) How good will this PSU be in the future when I add another GTX 760 along with some other components such as a Case Lighting, an SSD, a Soundcard (I am not even close to affording one so I do not have a guess as to which one I would want), but most importantly watercooling. I still have a lot to learn about building so I am kind of a noob when it comes to this. Will this be sufficient as to what I will eventually add?

Thank you much for the link, I hadn't gotten a chance to see that before, it was definitely very informative. One question still though how much wattage got a watercooling pump usually try and draw from a PSU?

You are welcome as to how much for water that I can't answer as I don't water cool but someone will help you with that I'm sure:)

If you wanted a 750w, you could also consider this :

http://www.amazon.com/Seasonic-M12I...8&qid=1395068207&sr=8-6&keywords=seasonic+psu

Although, you should check them out, and see reviews etc... of the unit itself. Seasonic is a rock solid brand 99% of the time (i was searching on amazon.com) It's around the price of the Antec you had there. If you were going for a single gpu 500-550w would be enough still i think.

Also XFX, although one thing i know for sure is XFX can be a pain to deal with in regards to RMA/returns (they are also made by seasonic)

http://www.amazon.com/XFX-PRO750W-F...&qid=1395068644&sr=8-47&keywords=seasonic+psu

Anyway i hope this helps.

The Corsair RM series are awesome, I run the 850w, and have never heard the fan spin, not once. Before this I used an XFX 750w and the coil whine was at times unbearable. Plus as mentioned there after sales is dreadful. It took me 3 months just for a simple reply to a query, I didn't bother taking it any further, it felt from the start it was going to be like pulling teeth.

So I have been looking around, I think for sure I am sticking with Corsair. One because it is a brand I am very comfortable with, and two because their colored replacement modular cabling is beautiful (If not overpriced) and I would really like to get a green set in the future. From my research I am now stuck between two of their PSUs either the CX750M or the RM750. Now I know the CX750M is newegg SLI certified and cheaper so these are reasons I am leaning on that one, but the RM750 is Gold-certified and has the ZERO RPM Fan mode. Not to mention I like the form factor of the RM750 a lot more. So my question is first (I'm pretty sure it will but I would appreciate verification) does the RM750 support SLI (I will eventually have two GTX 760s), and second which would you go with and why?
