I have been looking at getting a top for my MCP655/Laing D5 pump for when I do my new build but I am currently struggling to choose which one is best. I am not going to be buying it until Nov, so have some time to have a think. But it will be running on a loop with a EK HF CPU block (if it fits the LGA 2011) and 2x 590 GTX full blocks. I have seen a lot of graphs, and while they are pretty, I'm not sure what information I am supposed to be able to take from them. I assume my loop will be fairly restrictive, so will anybody just be able to explain what these tops can do a bit more and how they will help?
Is it just to improve the barb placement or do they offer significant improvements?
I apologise if this has all been covered before, I couldn't find much info on it.
