Guys which maker would you recommand for a 8600GTS?

I have the choice between ASUS, GYGABYTE and MSI, the MSI comes with an overclocking feature that sounds pretty cool! They cost the same, so I wonder if there is a big difference between the 3?

TIA

The ASUS or Gigabyte gets my vote, but preference to ASUS. The MSI overclocking that you saw is in fact reliant on using MSI drivers exclusively, for which they are notoriously slow at releasing. You'd be better off buying the ASUS and overclocking it with coolbits or rivatuner, or getting the MSI if that's what you want and just use the regular Nvidia drivers. Just my 0.02c worth :)

Nice `n quiet GIBABYTE for historically personal reasons.

I aint buying ASUS stuff if I can help it, unless it`s cheap.

Get the one with the highest clocks as default if you are not gonna overclock, if you are, google each one and see what overclocks people are getting and get the one that overclocks the best.

That sink does look a bit sucky, nowhere near as nice as the 6600`s completely silent one.

For fear of hijacking a thread, u got a link to anything where u got a pic of u`r Zalman on it ?

I`m looking for an alt to a XFX 7600 sucky sink+fan.

yep I would have gone for a XFX or Gainward but the local shop has only the ASUS, MSI, Gygabyte and also Albatron and another japanese maker.

thanks for your feedback guys, I think I will go with the ASUS then.

Cool when I went to the shop today, they just got the XFX 8600GTS, so for 15 USD more I got this one :)

No offence to people who have an 8600GTS but theyre crap imo.

128bit memory? Whats up with that. I expected them to be half decent.

A 7900gtx can outperform them easy. So im sticking with it for a good while.

Suppose the 8600GTS will support DX10 though. Depends how you look at it.

Id like to see some benchmarks etc with that card :)
