Which ips monitor is best for me don't lot think

Hi every one I'm looking for a ips monitor

I play a lot of bf3 and other games now I no a lot of people say go for a tn panel but I want more colours and sharp colours please help me !!

I have about 300 I might go a little higher

I have a gtx 670 to run the monitor :cool:
 
7950 is faster in bf3 and cheaper so hah!:cool:

but back on topic...

I recommend a Acer H236HL and it is 169.99$ at newegg right now! It's a STEAL:)

I've actually owned both the 7950 and 670.. They report similar FPS, but in BF3, the 7950 is noticeably more choppy than the 670.

Marcus's from the UK also, so can't order from Newegg

Right what your saying is if I go for a 24" I won't see a difference in the 2 tn and ips

You will see a difference in Tn vs IPS. IPS is just much more expensive. The only IPS monitors i have seen are in 23/27" sizes so you may be limited.

You're going to see a couple of bad reviews like that for all products though.

Dell are about the best you can get when it comes to IPS screens (without going for Apple Cinema Displays or similar)
 
To every one I would like a 5ms response time if there is one as that is what I'm looking for as that is what I have at the mo

Pretty much all the Dell ones are the same.

Have a look round other retailers for Dell screens. You can't really go wrong with any.

The 5ms really doesn't make any noticeable difference. You'll be fine with anything up to even 16ms without noticing a difference...
 
Response time is only part of the speed. There's input lag and refresh rate as well. IMO anything under 10ms response time you won't notice a difference but at under 5ms you may feel a difference but not much.

Ok we'll what make and model should I go for then but keep in mind that I do play a lot of fps games like bf3 and bf4

I will stick with my current pick the Acer H236HL. 5ms response time and ips:which for ips 5ms is the fastest it can go. The only problem is it's 23" while you want a 24"-27" so in that case something Dell or Samsung. Asus would be my last company to go to if i had no other options with the others.
 
Sorry to semi-hijack. But 23" vs 24" I don't think you're going to notice the difference between them especially with that Acer H236HL which has "no" bezel. I don't own one yet personally but im thinking going to buy it when the funds are available.
There are also LG ones and Iiyama (or something like that) ones.

-What's it like?
-Do you game at all?
---How's the input lag?
-Does it have any annoying traits like flashing power button when it's on stand by?
