Hey,

Probably a stupid question to most... but which 980Ti, should I go for?.

The EVGA or ASUS?... I've always when with ASUS, but it costs 7999kr and the EVGA 7499kr.

Back in the 570 days, I was thinking of going with the EVGA one. But also seeing after what you guys have said about EVGA, I'm unsure.

One of the main reasons, which you will think is silly... is the SLI finger cover that EVGA has included in the previous cards. Which I've made a thread about earlier.

Warranty and customer service is something I consider very important, haven't looked both up yet though.

They're both reference designs/coolers by the way.

Thanks,
Chrazey

So, identical cards, with identical specs, and identical coolers, but one is 500kr cheaper?

Yeah, tough call.

This is true!

Warranties, Clock speeds and accessories differ.

EVGA also offer a step up program, and another manufacturer (might be MSI) cover after market water blocks

Don't forget dead pixels :D
sorry..

Yah, don't get where that dead pixels came from...

But do you guys think they will drop in price though or should I just buy one now?, or wait for a potential price drop?

Thanks

Just wait. AMD's new stuff will cause the price to drop regardless, even if it is a pig. Heck the card itself might be half decent too.

It all depends where you live. You're on in the UK are you?

The three best brands to buy are MSI (gob spit still not sorted my RMA) Gigabyte and EVGA IMO. Asus still need to do more about RMA.

MSI are the best if you are in, or near to Holland.
EVGA if you are in Germany.
Gigabyte if you are in the UK.

EVGA in Germany? nonononono
Here the most bought brand is Zotac, Evga is rather unpopular.

In all honesty, I would go for ASUS, but it's more expensive than the EVGA.... although not really sure if the EVGA comes with one of these, as they have done it in the past, on previous models:

I know for a fact that ASUS doesn't, as I've previously emailed them and they said that they have never thought of it.

EVGA Germany yesyesyesyesyes.

German office : Munich Germany.

Edit. The EVGA model will certainly not come with those on,or a back plate, because EVGA don't make the reference 980ti, Nvidia do. That's a GTX 280 and they haven't done that since.

Edit again. Asus are in the Cech Republic and you can't RMA with them directly you have to pay their middle man around £40.

I'm not sure if that's changed but that's why I don't recommend Asus.

Oh my god, reading this nearly made my face fall off.

Correct me if i'm wrong but your letting the protective goldfinger cover influence your decision on whether to buy a graphics card or not. AND then your unsure if EVGA include one when you know ASUS definitely do not

wut, surely if it's cheaper and might have one then woo bonus. and if it doesn't who cared anyway. For the record EVGA cards generally do, but I still can't believe we are discussing this. I consider them part of the packaging and keep them in the box.
