Which DDR3 ?

Cheap ($195) Patriot - 1333 (9-9-9-24)

(40/50 $ more) GSkill - 1333 (9-9-9-24)

(10/20 $ again) OCZ - 1333/1600 (9-9-9-26 / 8-8-8-24)

Above this is silly money for Corsair and OCZ with large cooler mounts, similar timings.

What we think of GSkill ?

OCZ 1600MHz with the tighter timings all the way mate... If you're buying some then it's worth doing it properly I spose. Plus you'll be getting it cheaper than the cheapest DDR3 kits over here anyway

I bought the 2X2GB OCZ PC-12800(DDR3-1600) Platinum Series. Its rated 7-7-7-24. I got it for 309USD free shipping and it had a 40$ main in rebate making it $269USD out the door. Not bad, I'd say and I highly trust OCZ memory products.

Ouch. Just bought the same (eb) here in the uk and stung me the same but in pounds. Quality stuff though.

Heh, after posting, I checked and saw that it dropped even more. Now its 292USD with a 35$ rebate making it 257.

Think i'll go book some holidays over to the states for the end of the year for some shopping. Its sick how much difference there is. But anyway, OCZ Platinum gets a thumbs up from me, so far.

I`ll check into that OCZ Platinum. Chances are I can`t rebate off the likes of NewEgg cos the town operates off of a po box. - however ocz rebates seem to be ok.

2x2gig ddr3 sets are redicously exspensive. I just finished paying $500 for OCz 2X2gig 1333mhz in april
