Well, after buying and building my current gaming rig... I've decided that it just isn't needed!! and I'm going to be switching to a laptop.

Found someone to take the system off my hands for £750.. Roughly £120 down from what i paid in September. =/

Antec P192

Q6600

Asus Blitz Formula SE

EVGA 8800GTS 320MB

2GB Cellshock PC2-6400

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB

Cosair HX 620W

and Selling my 22" Samsung SyncMaster 226BW to my brother for £100 lol

Just need a study laptop for watching movies, and internet access... and depending on price a good enough graphics card to play Counter Strike Source. Maximum price is really £700. So any help on which retailers etc to look at apart from Dell, would be good :D

Found This at dell for £664.50:

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7250 (2.00 GHz, 2 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB)

Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium - English

17.0" Widescreen WXGA+ (1440x900) TFT Display

2048MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024]

160GB HDD (5400RPM)

nVidia® GeForce™ Go 8600M GT with 256MB DDR2

i think both are sexy little beasts, i wouldnt normally get a laptop but im off to iraq for 6 months and need somthing to keep me occupied, also any ideas for some good lan games, alot of the lads will have laptops, not many with high spec ones, so if u know a lan game that dosnt require a high spec sysem please post.

Probably a bit too late but I have had 3 laptops during my 4 years of being interested in computers. My first one was an IBM thinkpad and it worked great but the specs were poor, it had no extra features at all and nor does any IBM laptops as from what I can see. I then got a Toshiba satelite pro (my dads now) and it ran great but the only thing I wanted it for was for HD movies... And guess what, it never had a HDMI output :o, so my dad has had to buy one just to watch on his big LCD tv lol. I then purchased a Samsung R70 and this laptop by far is the best, apart from a few little features I was used to it gives something more.

Read some reviews about it www.google.co.uk, I got it not for gaming but for movie watching and just college work. I ended up installing COD4, ETQW, and oblivion on them and they work fine :o. this is a SS of COD4 on MP.

So from my experience a Samsung would be the best bet, they don't big up themselves as much as other companies, but sure as hell put up a great fight.

I paid £760 I think it was :p.
