USB headers on the DFI Ultra D are about 2" up and 2" left of the Power/Speaker/Reset headers on the mobo. In fact right below the mobo fan there are two side by side.

To get your MACH 2 to work correctly with USB.

On your mach 2 PCB link the following:

PCB pin 1 to motherboard USB pin 1

PCB pin 2 to motherboard USB pin 2

PCB pin 3 to motherboard USB pin 3

PCB pin 4 to motherboard USB pin 4

2 IMPORTANT THINGS:

When I say pin 1 on pcb board its literally the first one on the left.

That same wire connects onto pin1 on the usb header.

Note on the image its bottom left pin where you see the number 1 (USB+5v,USB+7)

!!!! very important the bottom one not the top.

I did what you said yesterday, but it kept saying "windows does not recognise this device" or something simular, when i clicked the bubble it said i should try reconnecting the device, which i did.. numerous times.. but the same thing..

Tried today, same thing.. have restarted a few times.. but i did it recently and now nothing pops up to say its been detected and it doesnt even make the detection noise!..

This is annoying.. any ideas what i can do?

well it must be connected if its picking upa new device i know naff all about mach2's but i imagine that when u get te pop up and it tells you to install teh drivers shove teh cd in and install teh drivers then reboots and it shoudl be seen as a mach 2 i imagine <----- a guess so try it

It's not as simple as that, the bubble that used to come up kept flashing in the bottom right corner of the taskbar.. it wont even detect it at all when i plug it in now..

OMG i dont believe it.. i just tried plugging other USB stuff in the back of my PC.. nothing will get detected now!! ARGHHH.. what can i do about this? !! :(

Edit : nevermind, i fixed that.. i had to install the USB 2.0 drivers off of my motherboard CD.. everything else is working fine..

I plugged in the mach II usb again and the message only popped up once, it said it has malfunctioned or something and windows does not recognise it.. Now i tried another few times but no message comes up now??.. anyone know whats wrong?

Yet another edit.. : I just tried again, but no use.. My unit rebooted aswell for some reason and my computer shut down, then i held down the power button for 3 seconds and this time it says "No Mains" on the LCD.. So i rebooted but it froze because i left the USB lead plugged into the pins on bootup, unplug them now its working fine..

Totally confused.. does anyone know how to solve this at all?

You need to install the Control Centre first, the windows will be able to find the drivers for the device. check in device manager to see if it is there when it is plugged in.
