I just built a new PC (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/DKGc99, with a 7870 tahti gfx card from my old PC). I use it primarily for gaming and everything I want runs on it atm, apart from Star Citizen (and GTA5 when running on 2560*1080 can only run on high settings)
In the next 18 months I'm going to purchase a new GFX card, however have been hearing a lot of information about significant changes happening to GFX cards and am wondering if it's sensible to wait a while before purchasing. I've probably got a budget of upto £300 / $420.
Can someone give me some information / synopsis about what's happening in the world of GFX cards and a recommendation on what they would do in my situation.
