Plantronics Gamecom 780. Cheap but superior sound and mic quality compared to more expensive headsets. I'd also say my Gamecom commander is my second fave.

This is excluding a proper headphone setup with a microphone though.

I got hold of a cheap Astro A40, I really like it although I am not sure about the RRP...correction, the RRP is steep.

I got a Tritton HD510 plugged into a soundblaster 5.1 external sound card and it sounds pretty good for my standards. They're but worse then my Sennheiser Momentum and Logitech Ultimate Ear 6000's tough.

I have a G35 and i liked and hated it. It sits ok but the sound can be so sharp with that headset that it hurts. atm i'm using a Sennheiser HD 598 with a soundcard and i love them to death:d my brother is really happy with his G35's now:d

A40 + Xonar Phoebus for gaming. I also have an AT AD900X but it's too airy and lacking in low end for gaming though.

I find headsets to be too confining and uncomfortable for the long haul. I just fill the whole room with sound (7 channel) and I'm good.

Got one of those also. Love it. Just one quirk, the volume is always extremely high.... I have to leave mine at like a maximum of 20 in Windows to maintain a comfortable listening experience. Is yours like that? if so did you just deal with it, or did you fix it some how lol
