What's a good mobo for an e4300?

I'm going to build a new system and I thought I'd go with an e4300 and overclock it.

What's a good mobo to go with this, which will allow a future upgrade to quad and allow easy noob overclocks?

Also what ram would people recommend (think budget)?

Thanks all.

I`ve just got a 4400 and an ASUS P5B-E Plus

The ASUS P5B-E Plus is reviewed on OC3D at:

http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews....c=asus_p5b-e_plus_socket_775_motherboard_p965

The ASUS seems built for OC - "Overclocks like stink..."

The reviewer ran out of cooling (the Scythe cooler he used is not the best)

Apparently it OC`s better than the deluxe version and almost all other boards.

I got mine to do 3Ghz with a couple of mouse clicks, just raised the FSB or whatever it is from 200 to 300 MHz, no probs, was going higher but Core Temp was showing 79 degrees on the cores when I ran Orthos to stress it, so will have to wait till I get a better cooler!

I`m trying to decide between air (Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme, if it`ll fit on the mobo) or water cooling.

I haven`t seen a water system which will be better than the Ultra-120 at a reasonable price (under £100?) (anyone know of one?)

I paid about £180 for the mobo and the 4400, £65 for the graphics card (new) and over budget for my Ballistix 1000 (eBay) but if I get a decent cooler I should be really flying

Anyone have a guess at what this combo might be capable of? I`m a newbie to OverClocking and only average at best where computers in general are concerned.

Gigabyte DS3?

Sorry but no. Every result ive seen from that board is just medicore.

Tbh id avoid the 965 boards now, got for P35. Abit Ip35-pro is a solid choice from what ive read. Well priced too. Or maybe the P5K-E.
