What RAM kit?

So, I'm pretty sure that i want to get 16GB of RAM because i Record and edit videos for YouTube and play Minecraft which is often a rather RAM demanding game at times. Im not sure what i should do. Scan offers Corsair Vengeance 8GB Low Profile Kits but not 16GB kits (This is dual channel by the way). There are a few 16GB kits, but they're not low profile which i will probably need in the future. Should i get 2x 8GBkits at the same time (ordering two) or should i go with the high profile, 16GB kit and risk my future cooling options?

As far as I know you should be fine with 2 x dual kits. I'm not 100% sure though.

EDIT: Or go for one of the kits linked by James above :)

Which of them would you recommend, they both look nice. But which is better including things like warranty ect?

I would recommend the Mushkin personally, because I own a dual channel kit myself :). As for warranty's I'm not sure, but I think it's the same for both companies.

Yep, or you could get two Dual Channel kits and have exactly the same as you would if it were a Quad Channel kit.

Not entirely right...

Quad channel kits are from the same batch, so all the 4 are identical. There's nothing stopping 2 dual channel kits being from different batches and so may perform slightly differently. The chances are they will be the same, but you never know. Better just getting a quad channel kit really and having them all matching

Yes, but 1600MHz running at 9-9-9-24 or whatever speeds you're after should be the same, regardless of which batch it's from (until you start getting down to stupidly accurate benchmarks).

For real-world usage it's irrelevant. I'v used Vengeance and Vengeance LP in quad-channel and it's been perfectly fine for a bit of rendering :)

Should, and will at it's rated speeds...

But, overclocking things can be very different and can cause instabilities. It's not so much an issue now as it used to be, but I'd still rather be safe and get a quad kit
