Hi there
Im planning on upgrading from my onboard sound Realtek ALC 889 to a dedicated sound card.
Im currently using a really old 5.1 home cinema system through a optical cable and its slowly dying (lots of speaker popping and hissing).
I will also need some new speakers budget wise I only have about £100ish.
I have seen this card on E Buyer Asus Xonar DX 7.1 PCI-Express Soundcard for £59 there are Creative alternatives but I hear there are horror storys galore with win 7 64bit drivers.
Speaker wise ive been looking at either Creative X530 5.1 speakers, Corsairs SP 2200 or Logitech Z323 which are all around the £50 mark.
Im not to fussed about the surround sound just want to get the best I can with what money I have.
If anyone owns any of the above or has other suggestions please leave a comment,
As always thanks in advance
Have a good day peeps
Marc
