Read more on the new U.2 high speed SSD Connector here.

It will be nice when the connectors settle down again so that we don't have a dozen or so different connectors that all do (pretty much) the same thing.

Looks interesting, but atm there's way too many different connectors on the market, and it could get a touch confusing.

It'll be nice once all these new connectors settle down so we can get a motherboard with just the ones we really need instead of the current trend of one of everything.

I have a new MSI Godlike Gaming X99 motherboard and I'm wondering what type of SSD to use that has the new U.2 connection.
Here's the Intel SSD I've already bought, it uses a 4X slot, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820167300
Is it the correct one to use with this board?
Also, can I use an M.2 or U.2 type SSD at the same time, or does using one of these preclude using the other?
I've read the manual and am still quite confused.
Most of the items mentioned in the Compatibility chart with this board are outdated and no longer available, making the chart practically useless.
