What I did last night

Hey guys, jst thought I'd share this one with you

I'm in my 3rd year of University in Leuven (Belgium) and I'm part of 'Crimen', the student organisation of and for criminologists. This what we call a 'cantus' (Latin). It involves singing old songs and drinking beer. Our own Belgian beer, which is obviously the best in the world.

Do students in other countries have something like this?

I go to university in England. As far as I'm aware we don't do any singing, just a lot of drinking. Generally at the end of a term people go out to a club and do whatever it is you do there. I'm more of the just go and hang out with friends than the big celebration kind of guy.

Yeah apart from these 'special' things like a cantus, almost every student organization has it's own bar/ 'dance café' (-> good word in English?). We don't really do big fancy clubs ^^ party is on though every night from sunday till thursday

Leuven is a real student city. More than 30.000 students have got a room / apartment somewhere in the city.

Yeah I get what you mean. I'm apart of my university's shooting club. There was a dinner at the end of last term. we don't have our own bar/cafe but there's generally club specific activities.
