Hi Experts!

I got a wired problem with my pc, in BIOS read my D945 @ 3.4Ghz with FSB 200 and multiplier x17 but in my cpuz read different D945 @2.4Ghz with FSB 200 and multiplier 12. But I notice sometimes in cpuz the multipler jump up to x17 about 1 or 2 second and drop to x12 again, it happen again in about 10 minute or so. Here the screen shot of cpuz:

Aye as has been said disable C1E, speedstep and CPU throttling. Should do the trick

Intel and AMD CPU's use these technologies when the PC is idle or too hot to throttle them down

i had the same issue with my C2D it used to bump from 9 x to 6 x , as the rest said disable c1e and everything under the cpu option in the bios , gl mate it really

Just like to point out your wallpaper. NOBLE, wooohoooo! i live 10 minutes away from where they are made.

i read something that explains this in [H]ardForum

this is supposed to be normal with intel CPUs

mine does the x6 to x9 (e4300) in CPU-Z

Bench the CPU with SP2004 or someother and you'll see it'll go back

This is so that you save power and only use the max OC of your cpu when you really need it.
