what external card shud i use? for gaming/music/movies

Hi. I have problem, i dont know what external sound card should i use. Curent card is dell xps l702x integrated, well its not totaly bad, but im not hapy with it.

I use edifier s730d sound system, and i like them a lot, but i know those spekers are wasted on that card, and sound, it seems to be plastic, and eq, i spend a lot time to set them to sound litle beter, but improvment is litle. And when i conect them to my phone galaxy s2, difrence is not that big, knowing that phone deliver terible quality.

I read tons of articles, reviews and coments, those spekers are realy good, at all frequences, and can be used to develop high quality sound for gaming, movies or music, one of the most universal. So i think i upgrade my computer to alienware, because i like laptop, i used destop computer for 4 yr, and dont wona come to that again, SO IM NOT INTEREST INER CARDS.

I wont sound, that my edies should make, sound of quality. Curently i watch ASUS Xonar Esence One. I read that this card is in other league from creatives, or other asus products, or auzentech. This card should be purfect to my edies? i use 60% for music, 35% gaming, 5% movies, but all are important. Are some one have that card, or set like edies and esence one, or heard something about them, or heard how sounds it? I realy need help to make right desision.

External soundcards aren't particularly good.
You pay a massive premium for the 'externality' and don't get much back really.

You'd be better off saving money and getting something like the Fiio E7 which you can use with all your devices.

just a kind word before this get outta hand. when asking for advise and
someone actually lends an answer, you might wanna investigate that
before questioning their help.

he wasnt questioning the quality as i read it, the tag line was
cross-platform usage.

^^^Solid advise. If your mind is already made up on the Asus dont ask for other options.

aiden, i do watch that card-amplifer before asking, and that is why i asked, because fiio is created for headphones, and asus esence one is top there, and top to speakers, and i basicaly serching sound card for speakers, not for headphones.

And as i writen, i serching help from asus or edifier users to lend my a hand, say if anything is wrong there, or warn if my anything is bad in this set.
