What do you think of these parts?

So I've been planning on ordering the parts for my first loop but I keep second guessing myself. I've already made one of these threads but it's been forever lost in the non-first pages, and I am unable to edit the first post. Anyways, this loop is just going to be for the CPU, and I'm 99% sure I won't go for the GPU until my next build (ie 2-3 years from now :p.)

Anyways, this is my rig: (pic from last week before I had anything except what is shown, so please excuse the intel cooler lol)

The main theme of this build is black and blue with accents of white (fittings and fans basically).

So, tell me what you all think.

Not at all actually, they appear to be black and a really dark brown. I noticed that when I first took the picture. Must have been the lighting. :headscratch:

Is not cheaper to get the RASA Kit? and then add the tube and fittings also.

The XSPC tube will do for the rad flush and block testing.

I would go for 7/16 tube. I have used 1/2 in the past it looks so fat and ugly.

Well I'm using compression fittings, so I would need to use 1/2". Besides, with the sheer size of the Switch, I don't think it will be a problem. And I'm going for an EX series rad and the Raystorm block. The closest kit is the Raystorm RX 750 kit, but it is still $20 more than even switching my EX for an RX360. The kits are out of the question basically.

Just a quick off topic question - Do msi boards look that brown in person?

It's the light, when you use a flash or shine a bright light you can see the copper traces underneath the PCB which makes it brownish. Not bad unless you have super bright white LEDs in your case, and even then it's fine.

Save yourself 2.50 and just use a paperclip as the jumpstarter. Also, you don't have fluid or a biocide in that list, so what are you using?

You can get compressions for 7/15 5/8. They look really sharp. Trust me 1/2 is so daft looking.

Look my rig on 1/2 http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc373/ibanez1andrew/DSC06633-1.jpg

and then look at my sig.. which is using 7/16 .. so much cleaner.

Yeah, you're definitely right. I suppose I will go for 7/16" tubing with 7/15" EK Compression fittings, which I do really like. The white Bitspowers are amazing looking, but the price is a bit pricey ($10/ea).

I'm going with Mayhem's Pastel Blue with some Mayhem's Blue dye to make more of a royal blue pastel to match my rig better.

Also, are my pictures gone? They aren't appearing for me.

Is that like a premix or something? I see you have some Mayhems stuff in your list, but that's only dye not a coolant. And I can see the pictures just fine.

Theres a pastel blue concentrate, you just mix it with water to make normal pastel coolant.

OK gotcha so you're using distilled and Mayhems dye. Everything checks out with me then, enjoy the Raystorm as it is I'd say the sexiest block out there at the moment :)

i like the Raystorm, but have a watercool heatkiller 3.0 NiBl block to try. thought
the NH-D14 was heavy, this is a champion in the heavy-weight divison. some are
not using a backplate for the install; which is flirting with diaster from the shear weight.
