It looks like a good idea but when you have got kids and a dog this stuff doesn't stay stuck to the wall for long and if used for power cables then when it comes to the box for socket outlets there can be problems if the box becomes damaged as there is exposed conductive parts and it my feeling that this more likely to happen as the box prutrudes more than one recessed into the wall

Here in Spain and in Portugal we use this to! And i think it's a practical way to hide the cables!

that surprises me as i thought the use of this when it comes to muliti-core cable on a wooden/masonary wall was still under consideration with the IEC

Okay fair enough it's just in my part of the world there was a situation where the cap part of the conduit kept coming off, as a result of this it ended up with a situation where a puppy was able to chew through the cable and died and as you can tell i'm not a fan of this stuff in a domestic dwelling

The puppy could died with a piece of wood from a chair to, don´t you think?!

Because the uk is the only country in the eu that's stupid enough to allow the use of surface mount conduit in a domestic dwelling, hence why i think it's a bedroom in the uk

even if this was the case, the surface mounted conduit in question here is not governed by any regulation. in this photo it is only used to conceal the hdmi cables and power cables etc. and bearing that in mind,

and personally i would be more worried about a puppy chewing the cables that are not in conduit,
