What are my options on SSD's

Hi guys, im looking at buying an ssd to put windows and a few games on. What are my options with SSD's? I know absolutely nothing about them. I've been looking at a few reviews but cant really make my mind up. Im looking at spending around the 120 mark.

Get the 128gb Crucial M4, or 128gb Samsung 830.

I have the M4, and I can fit windows and around 7 games on mine, and still have around 20gb spare.

Thanks guys. Im looking at the 256gig one. I know its more expensive but I have quiet a few games. EVE online is a HUGE game on its own and its only going to get bigger lol.

Yeah i know that, i said the 256GB Samsung 830 is £150. Then you can claim £20 cashback from Samsung, making it £130 for the 256GB model. £50 more for twice the capacity is a bargain.

Yeah I know. I will spend the extra and get a 256gb. I've just realized how big my steam folder is and like I say eve isnt exactly a small game.

256GB = £0.51 per GB
128GB = £0.63 per GB
64GB = £0.86 per GB

See what i mean. You simply can NOT find a 240/256GB SSD for less than £130, and 50p per GB is just insane value. Plus the 830 is one of the most reliable SSD's on the planet, and is amazingly fast too

Well, I'm personally getting the 256Gb version of 830 as well. And the only two reasons are the price and the reliability. 130 pounds for 256Gb that I can throw in and forget about is just ridiculously amazing. I know it's not THE fastest drive, there are several faster ones on the market right now, but with this discount, they cost like 30% more. Pity I'm not that rich.

The Samsung 830 is faster and more reliable. Don't get fooled by all the marketing mumbo-jumbo, the speeds advertised for SSD's are not used in Windows, in real world apps the 830 is faster

Ordered the samsung. Now just got to wait for my motherboard to come from overclockers and im there. Oh and I ordered another 8 gig of my ram. Its so cheap I thought why not.
