Western Digital releases their new 10TB Gold series datacenter HDDs

Even if I had a drive that big I'd still fill it up and need another

The vicious storage cycle :P

*Buys new HDD*
"Oh, look at all this space I have now. Let's install ALL the things!"
"...aaaaand I need another HDD"

You guys can't be serious right now?... I have an Samsung 950 PRO 512GB M.2 SSD and it's my only drive, and I'm not even utilizing it to even 50% lol!

I installed a 1TB HDD in my rig about two months ago, upgrading total storage from 750GB to 1,75TB. It's 50% full now :D

I have 678Gb left of 2400GB my steam, origin and uplay take up 1150GB alone, and steam doesn't have all my games installed

What do you guys even install and store on your storage lol?... What games can you possibly have on Origin that takes up that much space?

You only have to have a few games installed these days and space soon becomes an issue, GTA V 55+ GB, Witcher 3 62GB, Ark 60GB are just three I have to juggle from SSD to HDD depending on the session.

W3 is only 50GB for me:huh:

but still, games are getting a lot bigger these days. Higher res textures are a big one. Many 4k texture downloads are a few GB's themselves. Obviously other stuff but i think graphics are a big reason why.

Isn't doom like 85GB now?
Dirt is 50gb or so now as well

Games just keep getting bigger, they should just sell em on their own SSD, be so much easier.

When you start getting in to HD movie storage, space becomes an issue REALLY fast. I've got 4 2Tb hard drives full to the brim that I have to pick what to delete off to download new content, lol.
