Weird mobo problem

Hello,
I have a really weird problem.
I recently bought a Gigabyte GA 970A UD3 replacing a GA MA 770T UD3.
With the new mobo my psu refuses to start. I replaced psu with another one(same brand/model). I replaced mobo with another one, same. No results.
Then I used an older psu and worked.
Why mobo works with one psu and does not work with another psu
Any ideas?

I had that problem too.
When i used my ThermalTake ToughPower 850w it did not want to boot and if it did the PC randomly froze and turned black and the PSU was still going.

When replaced with a Corsair GS800 the problem was solved.

I know it sounds very simple, but make sure your power button is connected up properly...
If your mobo came with adapters, use them, if not, make sure everything is hooked up correctly :)

Yes, everything is connected up properly. I just bought a Corsair 430 to use my pc.
Silverstone Nightjar 450 can work with GaMa 770T ud3 but cannot work with Ga 970A ud3...

I talked with a Giga's technician and told me to check manual-internal connectors-chapter 1/7.

I compared manuals of gama-770t-ud3 & ga-970a-ud3. Everything looks same, exept a detail in the 4+4 port.

In gama 770t ud3 is <ATX_12V>
In ga 970a ud3 is <ATX_12V_2X4>

Does this difference mean something?

no one deleted a post..
when new members post and use outside links, they are
not immedialey posted to keep the forums safe from out
side attack.

only the opening post was edited with periods...
also, your connectors link is busted (will edit bad link)

the tech is making sure you have an 8-pin EPS CPU power
connected and not just a 4-pin.

Ok, I now understood.
After I posted #4 yesterday, there was a pop msg saying that, before upload mods must check.
I didnt use any outside link. That color word 'connectors' was some auto thing.
When today I saw post#4 there was a line, same for 3 times. So I made edit to delete the 2 same lines. But after this post was disappeared so I thought u had deleted it.

Now about the subject,
can u answer my last question

thats the difference.. the CPU 8-pin port. making sure you are plugging in the 8-pin not just a four pin (hence 2x 4-pin)

Both mobos have a cpu 8-pin port for the psu. Yes, I use all pins.

Do u have any idea why Silverstone Nightjar fanless 450W psu cannot work with GA-970A-UD3 mobo?

I sent question to Silverstone, but no answer yet.
