I don't really know which brand to avoid, but

some friends and I have tested over 20 different

water blocks for CPUs and I really, really, really,

..., really, ..., ..., recommend you the

Cuplex Kryos.

There are six different versions split up in three

groups when it comes to performance.

Group1 ( the "bad" one - better than all the others

from EK/Swiftech/Koolance/... ):

Cuplex Kryos Delrin - The cheaper one, no backplate in the set

Group2 ( the midfielded ones ):

Cuplex Kryos Pro - pure Brass top, no backplate in the set

Cuplex Kryos XT - Brass top

Cuplex Kryos HF - Copper top

Group3 ( the >200 Bucks versions ):

Cuplex Kryos XT .925 silver edition - silver socket and brass top

Cuplex Kryos HF .925 silver edition - silver socket and copper top

Silver has about 10% more thermal conductivity than

copper, so the Group3-blocks are better again, but

they cost about two to three times the other versions.

I hope I could help you and a few others by giving

you a few information about this water block. It is

really amazing

Kudos, Lasher and Xochielt. Thanks to you both so much. I've been wanting to run my 1090t at 4.2ghz and a big Air heat sink is way to bulky for my taste. Id like to see my my sexy motherboard hahah
