Watercooled X15e :D

Well we've been asked a few times for this, so we put our heads together with Alphacool and we've come up with this :-

Hopefully the ideal solution towards the quiet front froom HTPC.

Obviously we've got to get this set up and under test and we'll post our results here soon but a huge thanks to Alphacool (mostly Chris) for helping us with this and making it possible.:yumyum:

A few suggestions...

Reverse the fan to suck air through the radiator, and/or add a shroud to minimize the dead zone.

Remove the 90 degree barbs, almost everyone i've seen is useless.

At the moment its set to suck air out of the case, through the rad and back out again. What ill do is test it like that and then test it with your method.

What makes you say that the barbs are useless, the impact that they have on flow is neither here nor there depending on who you ask.

Move the fan to the other side of the radiator so you can still get exhaust out of it. The mcp350 without the top mod is more of a flow pump then a pressure pump, those barbs aren't even needed for the turns, but they do lower the overall performance of the loop by little bits. And this is overclocking, so we're always after those little bits.

Also: Why no tubing barbs on the mcp350?

Looks nice lads, but as NoL Said, get that fan round the other side of the rad for better performance.

Also, would this not fit in?

Maybe other than space the fact that the case has 2x80mm I think so they had to custom mount anyway, might as well move pump into spare fan space.

That's the start to an awesome compact watercooled HTPC! I love it so far, but definately take in to suggestion the ideas that both NoL and XMS have given, they are definately right IMO.

I can't wait to see the finished product, it should be gangsta!
