watercooled 7800gtx

just watercooled my xfx7800gtx extremegamers edition cards....

throttle when below 35c had to turn off rad fan to run......

running 2 gig memory 2t cpu on air @ 2.7 ghz not even running 1:1 with cpu...

i know the score isnt much to brag about but running gpu @ 570 mhz

and memory '@1410 mhz and there is more room in overclocking this card.....

think i could push it to 1425 mhz by 580 on gpu.....

soon as i get my fx57 and my ma ch 2 back from fatty will try 1 gig memory 1t

and i hope i can hit some silly scores.......

Awesome Daz,

Post some mbot scores in just to help the TEAM EPUK get by - seem there's a bug in mbot and names and scores have been duplicated - dropping a top 10 score in is good for EPUK right about now.

Awesome scores daz - out of interest, is the 2gb of ram affecting the scores drastically at all? what are you expecting with 1gb (and when you get your fx55 back) ?

Hate to slightly burst (or shrink) your bubble Daz but the 3dmarks and Rivatuner hardware monitor report the core clock about 1.1x too high. 510-530 is still a fantastic overclock and the memory clocks are nice too. Well played mate: hope to see some big scores when you get that FX.

what happends is if u overclock to 510 on gpu it will autooverclock 40 mhz on its own....... its a new feature on the g70 gpu.............

had memory to 1425 now and gpu to 575.......... using 2gb memory @ 2t looses loads on the score and having a slow cpu bottle necks the cards r 2 powerfull............. roll on mach 2 gt r507 and my fx57

its a custom setup using ehiem 1250 pump 1/2 inch tubing thermochill rad and panflow fan....... 2x dangerden actel blocks ocz ramsinks 2 water bay res 1 for each card to pass into..... helps keep water temps down...... cards under load is about 40c...... 28 idle.....

Im getting a Leadtek 7800GTX and 2GB Corsair - hopefully as im not overclocking madly like you it won't affect it too much if at all.

Nah it will, these G70's are wierd.

Rivatuner reports my core as 520, when it's actually 480, stock.

Nice clocks Daz, hopefully Nvidia will sort the crappy throttling issue out soon.

Whats the point of auto-overclock feature? Asking for trouble surely? Which thermochill rad are you using Daz?

As for having 2GB of memory, I think it helps quite a bit with everyday apps and gaming etc but of course benchmarks take a hit.

I had a chance to upgrade to 2GB so i did, and obviously i would prefer it if it didn't affect benchmarks but if its gonna increase performance thats the main thing!

but after overclocking the card and cpu, I might be sucked in to getting 1 more
