got myself one of these

http://specialtech.co.uk/spshop/customer/product.php?productid=1272&cat=0&page=1#tabs

but i am concerned about the flow resriction, the inside dia is only about 6mm and is even further reduced as it passes the actual temp sensor

Wow thats small, What kind of system are you using?

Pump & tubing will tell us.

IMO is shouldnt make that much difference.

Arn't they 10/8 compression barbs?

TBH i dont think itll be too bad, if your worried about it try it with and without and see if theres any temp difference. Its a giant pita yes, but itll confirm if its too bad or not.

You can try running it in parallel with other components, exactly the same as if it was an electrical circuit. You would need to use 'Y' connections to split and rejoin the tubing but it will mean that the 'resistence' is much reduced.

I have a plan:cool:

this is a piccy of the large fill port in my reservoir (case is lay on side in piccy)

get.php

I'm going to drill a hole in the center of it then tap the sensor

get.php

straight into it.

you can buy a seperate 1/2" T-line take the sensor out of the T-line you bought and put it in with some ceramique or super glue. Marci did this @ XS when measuring best temps for rad.
