Water cooling graphics card only?

Hai

So my question is what parts will you need to water cool a graphics card only and what will the price be?

I think you need a pump, a block for the card, 2 pipes, some connectors, a reservoir. Then of course the "water".

Just to say it's for a 5850 and I have found this-> http://www.ebay.co.u...em=140755723938

Dont forget the " radiator " or your card will not live very long !

And yes , you need a pump , tubing , fittings , reservoir , gpu block and a RADIATOR !

Exactly right yeh. You want to look at a 240mm radiator** if you can fit one in your case, then you'll see the best results.

For just a graphics loop, you could get away with:

It is likely to come to around £120 just for the watercooling system, so you may want to ask yourself if it's really worth it, and if it is worth it, is it worth spending a little extra and going CPU as well?

Hardly worth the price tbh as its not an overly loud or hot card in the first place tbh, if your just wanting it to be cooler/quieter at load if thats whats bothering you a geiled icy vision cooler will be just as good and a ton cheaper, only £30 at scan and pretty easy to fit, had one on my stand in 5870 and it was awesome for the price, 55-60C load depending on my ambient temp on minimum fan speeds with a fairly hefty overclock.

I agree with hunter really, unless you're doing cpu as well, it's not even worth half the money to do graphics alone.

I dont understand why no ones made a Hydro series like corsairs for graphics cards yet. I know card compatibility may be an issue, but I think there'd be a massive market for it

They have :http://www.coolitsys...gpu-cooler.html

http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vga/569/accelero-hybrid.html?c=2182 this one fits a lot more cards.

only fits a few cards at the mo,so a very small market, but I know some people are using the KÜHLER H₂O 620 with a 10 quid bracket they can be made to fit on any card(if I can find one cheap I will put one on my card)

Ooooooh, they look interesting. I can imagine they're expensive though? If you were willing to get a hydro and one of them, again you'd probably be better building a custom loop

Still be good for some people!

Thanks for all your help.

Water cooling is down the drain for that price. What aftermarket cooler do you reccomend for it? I have the 5850 with a reference cooler.

It's true what was said above . Just cooling your Gpu only isn't worth all that money , grab a bit deeper in your pocket and include your CPU in that loop .

But if you choose to only cool your Graphic card then go with the Gelid cooler , save your money and wait to Watercool when you upgrade .
