It's taken a long time but after trying quite a few MMOs since quitting WoW back in what must be 2008-9 I have come to the realisation that as you get older most people have absolutely no time to get stuck into an MMO anymore. Unless something takes the market by absolute storm I think i'll be avoiding MMOs from now on because as much as I enjoy them I just can't invest the time I would want to to truly get the best out of an MMO
I left just in to WOTLK went back just b4 MOP levelled all 22 chars but just can't get the interest to raid properly again which makes end game pointless, my plan if I can't get into WOD is to sale all my stuff and give someone about 200k gold and delete all my chars that way I'll never be tempted to go back![]()
The trailers look really nice, dunno what new is coming though. Was really into raiding in the burning crusade, got down some pretty nasty bosses and had an awesome guild with alot of IRL mates in it. Those were the days. But after WotLK I kinda lost interest.
I would have time for an MMO now, also going back to school after christmas, but wow, meh, aren't there any better MMO's out there? (no offense) Been looking into Guild Wars 2, looks pretty cool and no monthly subscription fees neither.
Hate to say it but WoW is still one of the top if not, THE top MMO out there. I think its one of the only ones that still pay to play as most are switching to the F2P mechanic.
Wildstar was boring very fast, Rift has potential and Guildwars 2 lost its spark in my opinion. Luckily I have no time for MMO games now so no way in hell will i get dragged into them again.
I recently started playing again in preparation for the expansion. Last time I played was over 2 years ago. Feels like a new game with everything that's changed and I'm really looking forward to WoD.
Yeah I know, there's a reason over 7 million people play WoW. GW2 lost it's spark? how?
And what about Star Citizen? Aren't there some people from here gaming it?
EDIT: Lol it's not out yet. -.-
EDIT 2. Star Citizen Thread![]()
Just watched a bit about wod and one of the buildings needs bones and the only way is pvp blizz's way of forcing people into pvp
I really hope that's not final in the release. I don't want to PVP which is why I rolled a PVE server to begin with, it's also the reason I only have 1 legendary cloak.
My interest in WoW got severely muted by Mists of Pandaria, to the point I took a 6 month+ break from the game and only came back a couple months ago, but I'm kinda looking forward to WoD.
I've tried to not look at much from beta and PTR as I prefer "discovering" the new expacs at release, but the garrisons worry me. If they're going to be character specific and quest lines, building and resources etc need repeating like the farm stuff in Halfhill then I'll struggle with my modest six level 90 characters, especially if Blizzard have decided they want garrisons to be important in end-game.
Oh and I also don't like the Warlock change to Kil'jaeden's Cunning![]()
resources are needed to build your garrison and for work orders in the garrison, once you have the achievement to level 3 building on 1 char they all have it, but you still need to build each chars garrison. Some dailies are at the garrison and what I have seen they are go kill x number of these so will get boring quick.
My biggest thing with it is how it effects trade skill as you can build a trade building you don't have and make some but not all of the stuff
