man, Street Racing Syndicate?! I still have that for Gamecube lying around somewhere. I never really enjoyed it and haven't played much, but damn those videos were... neat.

I'll happily enjoy Starfield on the 5th through Gamepass then. Pretty excited to test it out on my old rig. Do we know if it's also available for cloud gaming? Would be cool to be able to play it in bed on my Fire TV Stick.

All I know from leaks is that there are invisible walls on the planets, still going to play it but i'm not excited it'll be average in my view.

The invisible wall's is down to the planets surfaces being mapped in "Segments", from what I have seen about it, all you will need to do is plop a new marker down "land" at it and carry on.

I think a lot of people are making it more of an issue that it probably is, but until we can try it ourselves we won't know for sure.

Only 2 days to go.

well simulating 1000 full planet surfaces would be a bit idiotic in my view. :D

from what i have seen it will be exactly what i like in an SF game.

i am just a bit worried about the spacefight and ship bording.
i hope the fights will be good and give me ELITE vibes.

i want spacefights, disabling engines and bording the ships to loot them. :)

Bought my copy, does steam allow for a pre-release download ?

I'm not sure. I had heard about a pre load, but no idea. What I do know is if you got the top deluxe version you can play it on the 1st.

Will see you in space, ranger

I just preloaded on game pass i can wait.

I'm not making a big deal out of it you can walk a long way tbh, but idk until i play it i'm not going to get excited i think it'll be avg but sometimes avg is good enough in some games personally don't like to hype games beyond the realms of reality then be totally disappointed so if i go into anything in a normal way and i'm impressed then all the better, I tend to watch a trailer if looks decent i'll always try it.

I sincerely hope that this is a good game and nothing incredibly boring like pretty much ALL of their previous games ( Yes I think all Fallout and medieval type games are EXCELLENT for curing INSOMNIA ) and their reputation for buggy as hell releases are the only reason why I have not reserved this game yet.

It is foolish to preorder a game as hyped up as this....you may be setting yourself up for disappointment. Always wait a while and then you will see if it is a dud or not.

Seems preload is their this morning in steam and DL speeds are not throttled, hitting 1.5Gbps from steam servers in Paris :

On what GPU?

2080Ti and it's according to a leak from some rando on reddit, taking information from supposed reviewers.

The problem is the game was updated yesterday apparently so who knows what was changed.

I am taking these "leaks" with a large pinch of salt, until I run it on my system with my 5950x and 3080Ti.

Someone also mentioned a 3080 (non ti) with the same FPS as a 2080ti. So perhaps its unoptimized like TLoU was at launch.

But these 'Randos" as you call them actually speak positively about the game. FPS is not great, but there is no stuttering and supposedly smooth running. FSR appears to be working very well too.

But for someone like me who gets triggered by low fps, I think ill be more annoyed.

Sorry Rando's is not meant as an insult, it's just a word I use for "Random Reddit Posters", if I know they are a reviewer etc or employee of the company etc then I don't call them "Rando" :)

They may speak highly of the game, but for me unless I can see something to prove what they are saying, I can only take the comments with a pinch of salt.

Tomorrow at some point though will see the reviews go live, just not from any UK Sources as apparently all UK based Media and Content Creators have been "Black Listed" from "Review Copies" according to information that has been coming out today, but I don't think anything has been "100% Confirmed" but it's looking likely that, that is the case for "Reviews" at least.

I am just hoping I can hit at least 60Fps at 4K or 120Fps at 1440p, will be interesting to see the performance though, because if it's got a built in benchmark, I can run it on a 1060 3Gb with a 1700x, 2080Ti with 3950x, 3080Ti with a 5950x and a RTX 4060 with I7-13620H.

I'll see what my 1070 is capable of at 1080p, but I guess my 4770K will limit this thing like hell.

Also, do we already know if Coud Gaming via Gamepass will be available?
