W8.1 Keys ?

Looking for a legit store that sells W8.1 keys, Logan from TekSyndicate mentioned he bought quite a few for $20 from a well established legit store.

I just need 1 as my Windows install went loopy and is unrecoverable and the copy of Windows 8.1 that was on my rig was done by a mate who has his own IT repair shop and seeing as he is out of the country at the minute I can hardly just phone him up for his shop keys ^_^

Anyway if anyone has any clues it would be hugely appreciated :)

I'm mega tempted to upgrade to 8.1 for those sort of prices, i know it's been asked a million times before but is 8.1 worth it over 7 hp?

You would be better off waiting for Windows 10 to be honest, you get a free upgrade from Windows 7 as well.
There are a few performance benefits with 8.1 over 7 with games but nothing major.

Unless you really want to i'd wait it out for 10, but if you have the cash spare no reason not to really. You could always sell your Windows 7 key on ebay or elsewhere to get the money for the 8.1 key as well.

Direct X is the only reason I'm moving on up. If it wasn't for that I'd be more than happy to stick with se7en.

Update: Got my 8.1 Pro Key and it passed the PID check and all the updates. 100% legit, but I did have to wait damn near 72hrs for it. Happy Wraith and only £9.97.

Ok,

Help an idiot out here. I have Win 8 upgrade at the moment which I use to use a clean install of windows, then have to upgrade to win8.1 each time.

I often to full formats to clean things up. So while I know I get a free upgrade to windows 10. What happens 1 year down the line when I try to do the same?

I guess we do it once, then Microsoft have it registered that my key was upgraded to win10 in the grace period and so allow me to do it indefinately?

Are you asking if your pre-windows 10 key will always be valid for a windows 10 installation after the first free upgrade?

If you have upgraded to 10 already with your Win 8 Key then your windows 8 key will allow you to upgrade to 10 again in the future for free. I'm not doing it yet, probably in a few months or so, it's just not stable enough yet.

Thats exactly what I wanted to know. Since there are still alot of gray areas and nothing set in stone yet, I didn't want to upgrade and then during my routine cleanup later on down the road get c***blocked from upgrading again without paying.

I know it sounds stupid but these days, you never know with Microsoft.

Is it not just for the first year? Or is that relating to the time you must 'cash in' your upgrade to get it for life.

If you upgrade within the first year i.e this year, you get Win 10 for life for free, after this year if you have not upgraded you will have to pay for it. Unless you have 7/8/8.1 Enterprise editions then you will also have to pay, there's no free upgrade option for those versions.
