Does anyone know where there is a good site that shows how you to volt mod a MB. more to the point a Shuttle AN50R MB

Cheers

Also I am come to the conclusion that my PSU is crap. I upped the volts on the mem to 2.8 and my PC powered off. Does this sound like a naff PSU???

Is there anyone thats done a volt mod. If so can you tell us what stuff you used, where you got it. Like wire, is there any special kind, size of soldering iron bit.. etc

I would also imagine that you would need a meter to read the amount of vots that you are using and where would you go to test this???

Cheers

The better power supply will help keep the system stable by providing more power.

If you want to change the voltage to parts like increasing the vdimm over whats selectable in the bios then you will have to volt mod the motherboard.

I think that I will start off with getting a better PSU. I dont think that I can afford £190 for one, so will have to look for one a little bit cheaper

Also does anyone know how to turn 2 PSU's on from the same switch???

Cheers

i got someone waiting for his an50R to get volt modded.

u will need 2 10K pots for the Vcore mod.

I can do the mod but adjusting will be a pain cos first of all i got no amd heatsink :p so i am still looking at it.

Some have killed their chips due to the spikes from the VRs,

get a low wattage soldering iron, i bought a 12W one myself ;)

Done this mod twice now... but the vDimm only....vCore isn't really needed in my case, plus 2 close to the Prommie mounting kit for my liking... vDimm took bout 20mins in all and I'm using 2x 1k resistors... memory presently at 3.5v 24/7

What psu are you using with that?
