This is why I like VMware Workstation...they have Direct3D! got a load of games which refuse to play on vista/7 no matter what I do and was disappointed that microsoft's virtual PC did not have direct3D support in WinXP mode.
Also tried virtualbox which is great but again..a no go on Direct3D support but they are both relatively free and work well but you gotta pay for workstation lol
