It`s informing me I can`t import a web-mail account !? (follow the link as to the reason why we decided to stop this and it leads to a kb type explanation that just says we decided to stop this)

I`m hoping some1 is gonna step forward and give me a how-2.

Maybe I missed something cos I`m tired.

didnt hotmail stop allowing new accounts pop3 access a year or so back? maybe vista is now not allowing any pop3 access at all? wouldnt surprise me

I dunno, I`m gonna have to do some reading, but my hotmail account is as old as hotmail itself.

I find it strange it`s supposedly saying WindowsMail doesn`t support web-mail, but leads on to try and get me to create a web-mail account !!!?!?!

i have pop3 working no probs, but not with hotmail. Could it be that hotmail have stopped allowing access to it. I remember yahoo doing this and making it a paid service.

If I was to run off and get Thunderbird, is there an install option that `takes over` from the mailer u have installed at the time ? i.e. it`ll port everything from WindowsMail.

.. bet it just does it win oe atm >.<

Indeed, and I still get spam from m$ from time to time (today) telling me about how greatly improved my life will be within WindowsLive, with nice colors etc.

Incidently, if like me u find not being able to put hotmail onto WindowsMail (ala outlookexpress), follow the WindowsLive hype site and right at the bottom left of the webpage it says in light grey "Feedback".

.. so I did.
