Vista SP1 Delayed... Again?

From WC Annihilus' link: "Gianfranco Lanci, CEO of Acer, the fourth-largest PC maker, has broken the code of silence, telling the FT Deutschland newspaper that "the entire industry is disappointed by Vista"

No coincidence then that all this year's Acer Aspires come with a 160GB Hard Drive with two 80GB partitions

It's sooo easy to load an XP Pro SP2 OEM onto the "D" drive and create a dual boot with Vista using VistaBoot Pro that it's hard to believe that wasn't exactly what Acer had in mind!

Sooo easy to remove the evidence that you had done that too should you need to make a claim against the warranty!

:D

If it brings Vista the same advancement which we saw with Windows XP I shall be more happy, the feel I get with Vista is it is unfinished, You the user have to spend the rest of time tweaking it up to a workable operating system.

Can`t be 18 months til the SP. Just simply can`t be. That`d mean photos of the newer OS being blazened about b4 SP2 is thought about.

Something afoot here.

Maybe they meant 18 months since Vista hit the market and not from now.

Wonder if Mr Dell feels the same ? Some1`s bound to ask after this. I`ll ask both them and sbs tbh.

Trust me, it will be released this year.

If you look at the original article, the entire thing is based off of some lame rumor. Microsoft has said it over and over again that it plans to release SP1 by the end of the year or early next year.

I reckon u`r a hell of a lot more right than wrong there, some1`s either on crossed purposes or miss reading something badly.
