VISTA RAID Problem

Hi,

I've got a problem with my RAID setup this morning I followed the Gigabyte and made a RAID.

I then tried to install vista. At first it didn't see my RAID but then after loading the drivers it did but I get this error 0x8007000D

All I can find on 0x8007000D is to do with activation but it won’t even let me install vista.

Ok past that part, Copied the files now expanding hope I get no more problems!

Ok it didnt work and now it wont load the RAID driver

Don`t follow the address 0x8007000D etc as the problem, they`re just positions in memory where the routine got into difficulty.

The STOP 0x000000D1 comes up with so many results for problems/solutions, even involving RAIDing.. as far back as old ASRock boards.

I saw somewhere of some guy taking his drives off the ahci sata channels (cos he bsod), left ahci set in bios - moved them to non ahci sata channels and the system booted with no bsod. Once the system worked, he moved them back to the original sata channels and everything worked fine - no answer as to what went wrong.

Another dood simply didn`t have his onboard raid enabled >.<

Yet another older issue was the fact that the raid drivers only worked with SATA1.. which I really hope isn`t still an issue today.. but hey u gotta try stuff.

I would presume that you're using the Jmicron RAID controller to run your RAID setup judging by the screenshot....if you are then don't. Simply use the Intel raid matrix drivers for your chipset (ICH8R) and remove the JMicron drivers from the equation. The JMicron drivers will cause driver corruption; I had no end of trouble with them.

The easiest way to do it is use Vlite and make a slipstreamed install disk and incorporate the iastor files for Vista from the floppy drive into that slipstreamed disk. Don't install the JMicron drivers even after you've gotten Vista installed as it'll corrupt the array. Ok it turned out that the HDD's were damaged in post
