IF YOU DON'T LIKE WINDOWS OR DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS IS COOL, THEN DON'T BOTHER POSTING PLEASE

eh just found out dreamscene is only for ultimate, and stardock deskscapes is an extension so u need ultimate to use this =(

how much CPU resource does dreamscene take on your machine?

On my D830 running dreamscene in the background takes between 10 to 15% of the CPU on both core... it's nice but taking lot of resource for something you don't even watch when you work in word/excell or photoshop fullscreen ;)

I read that the addon deskscape is using mainly the GPU not the CPU power, is it true?

It takes about 10-15% of mine too, but then it aint doing much else (yep the Glass GUI uses GPU), so I'm not bothered. It stops when you start gaming (and when using Dreamweaver for some reason)

Was a serious question, but nevermind,

Serious question about what?

Your inability to see when something looks cool?

Get over it tbh

Ughh for some reason it crashes for me at times.

ANyways, my background is a copied WMV vid from a website of the SLR McLaren (>F1 kemp) in tile so there are like 20 on my screen and it like engulfes you in frikkin ownage!

Well I installed deskscape from stardock and it also take 10 to 15% of CPU.

Apparently it is better to use mpeg rahter than wmv files, takes less cpu to decode.
