The CEO of the Windows Vista project has announced more possible delays due to the feedback from beta testers and hardware manufacturers.

OC3D article here

we are discussing with NEC and other hardware partners is when would they really like it - early January, late January, February - so it depends on when the next roll-over, the next turn of the machine cycle will be...

But having missed the holiday buying season, he implied that the timing of the release is not the most important consideration.

Excuses, excuses

haha exactly, to be fair though, these things cant be rushed. if they were they may have to launch a massive project afterwards to fix all the bugs that arrise with the consumers. and this is a mulit-multi-million dollar project

QFT ^^^ I definately agree. I'd rather them take their time and release a product that has little or no problems so there are no headaches down the road.

Damn you steve ballmer, you crazy *******!!!

(anybody ever see that video of him going crazy?)

Agreed totally, there would be nothing worse for M$ reputation now if they released buggy/ flawed software. I think people are over the release and then patch mentality, they need to get this right. Kudos to Redmond and co. for stalling on the release until these issues are addressed, they stand to potentially lose a lot here. This may be the last chance many end users give them
