Hey guys!
can anyone tell me how to set my system up for the best video playback? currently have an HD 7950 on most recent beta drivers and using powerdvd 12 ultra/vlc player. sometimes notice some blockyness in some videos also play a lot of blu-rays. any help would be awesome!

cheers :)

as said, encoding is the big problem with some movies, and all movies are shot in 24fps i think, james cameron is all into moving to 60 standard, when he does everyone will follow.

back to question, use k-lite codex pack, it has alot of codecs, filters aswell as many settings that work with vlc, also make sure you use dev/extended version of vlc that has filters inbuilt into them.

im sure there are more savvy guys here that would be able to help you out with specific settings for filters etc. etc.

if you know what your doing just run through settings and test some options out
