Very Cold This Morning

I was shocked by how cold it was this morning when I booted up my PC. Then realised I had left the window open all night and it had been -4'C.

So my first thought of course was "dang i wonder how cold my waterloop is?" By this point my PC had booted up and been running idle-'ish' for about 4-5mins.

Anyways here is the coretemp screenshot, may have to leave the window open again tonight and try and beat my highest OC of 3.2ghz.

Be interesting to see how much other peoples temps drop as the nights get colder.

Edit: Voltage is actually 1.55v not 1.3v.

Cor blimey! :)

I got that last year, was crazy!

But I cannot do it cos I sleep with the PCs and so I would rather perfer to be warmer than -4! ;)

I miss clockin in the winter with a watercooled rig, I really do....

I remember setting my computer on a table right next to the window with a box fan in between the window and side of my computer blowing straight in on sub-zero night just getting some crazy wicked low loop temps.

I think some of my best pi times came from those days excluding my Vapo rig pi times.

Im starting to get some stupid ideas now lol. Dont think it will be long before my PC is out in the garden minus the side panels with my fingers crossed it doesnt rain.

Be kinda interesting to see what kind of temps you could get on a freezing night out in the open...... now where did I put that extension cord??

Frag was it yourself that had the crazy ducting from the cold external environment to ur CPU ??

Nope, wasn't me. But I did at one point have a plan to do said ducting work. :)

Yeah I was out at 5:30am this morning and it was DAMN cold.

Maybe we should have a "Winter Overclocking Olympics" competition :p

Outdoor? ppffffttt, this is in my room with a stock intel cooler after 30 minutes of running all my normal apps on vista (~15% cpu)
