Vegas Pro Cutting Off Audio ?

Dicehunter

Resident Newb
I just recorded a gameplay video and for some reason Vegas Pro is cutting off half the audio and I have no clue why, The raw unedited video has audio all the way through.

Anyone seen this before ?

have you played the file in the timeline to see if audio exists?

I've had problems before with Vegas where it doesn't generate the waveform right, but the audio is there, i normally get it using MP4's

Not sure if its been fixed recently but i use uncompressed MKV now as i can, but might be worth checking.

Yep played it and it's not there, No clue why.

Might give Adobe a go.

If you used FRAPS to get the footage I normally convert mine with handbrake afterwards and then vegas is fine

Update

Tried the handbrake method using settings to maintain as much of the quality as possible and it worked a treat, Thanks Tom :)

Update 2

For some reason the video comes out blocky and glitchy once it's gone through Vegas Pro.

Back to the drawing board ^_^
