Vcore problems

Well im totally confused:(

Ive got the balls up too finaly get some proper benching done and fiddling with the Vcore on my board is driving me nuts. So far PCprobe has told me pretty much whats in the bios. It droops a little under load as expected. Mod sorted the majority of that out.

I whip out my trust DMM too make sure its not all lying too me and now i got problems. im set too 1.5v in teh bios with the 100mv(.1v) option set too auto (theres no disable:@). PCProbe reads happily steady 1.5v idle, where as my DMM on one setting (the 2v setting) is reading 1.432ishV, and the 20v setting is reading 1.61v!.

Im at a dead loss which one too belive. Ive grounded straight too a molex for the dmm btw.

Any oppinions, pointers, 'you using the DMM wrong you n00b' s apprceated.

:(

Wow, night of the living thread.

So tell us what he reckoned then?? Can't just say you got your answer and leave it at that!!!

Urm, basicly the 2v setting was the right one.

I think the rule he told me was that you use the one above the value you looking for.

ie if you've trying to measure 4.5v you would use the 20v setting, if your trying to measure 100v you use the 200v setting.

Depends on the setting, some have 5, 50, 500 etc.

Iirc... lol
