Valve's Artifact card game will release this November

Can't say I have played Hearthstone, but to me it looks like a copy of Gwent. Or at least inspired by it.

In fact, it is pretty clear what you get for your 20$:

The game maker didn't answer this in its press release, so we reached out to Valve's Doug Lombardi, who broke down the exact package included in that cost: two pre-made "base" decks of 54 cards each ("5 heroes, 9 items, and 40 other cards") and 10 sealed packs of cards, which each include 12 random cards, one of which is guaranteed to be "rare." Additional 12-card packs will be sold directly by Valve at $2 a pop at launch.

So another cheeky try of a pay2win-game like Hearthstone... Big naynay in my eyes, especially considering how well Valve is doing...

Don't get me wrong, I do play games with a pay2win factor, like Dragonball Dokkan Battle on my phone and have already spent more than I ever thought I would, but Dokkan Battle is singleplayer only. Hearthstone/Artifact automatically becomes not only pay2win, but even pay2play at some point. This is what I heard and saw on Youtube without having played Hearthstone myself. (Mainly because I think there are better options out there like Infinity Wars on Steam).

I'll update the article with this info. Thanks.

My advice? don't. I've seen grown men spend many hundreds of pounds on it. Intelligent, articulate people too.

Don't what? I never said I had any intention to play this. I was part of the Blood Brothers 2 app on itunes/playstore. They kicked me off the team when I questioned their reasoning behind the increased pay2win concept, so I know how bad it is.

Was glad to see that game from Dena, cancelled. It was one of the worst I have seen. But also extemely addicitive and competitive being pvp.

At least with these games some cards have longevity.
